Volunteers

The 2nd annual Austin Funky Chicken Coop Tour will be on April 3, 2010.

Last year's tour was an egg-ceptional success with over 1,000 visitors viewing coops all over Austin. It was so successful that the coop owners and docents were overwhelmed with all the visitors' questions.

We expect the 2010 tour to draw even more coop owner participants and visitors. As a result, we need volunteer help in several areas to make it the most enjoyable and educational event for all. Note we will need help both before and on the day of the coop tour.

All volunteers should be:

* Responsible
* Dependable
* Able to meet deadlines

Some volunteers need to be:

* Poultry savvy (previous coop tour experience a plus)
* Tech literate
* Artistic
* Able to lead subcommittees

Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

* Docents (We have a whole list of docent responsibilities.)
* Photography
* Videos
* Website helper
* Artistic help with T-shirt or flyer designs
* Delivering flyers
* Setting up directional signs
* Contacting sponsors
* Tour Orientation
* Coop Inspection

If you are interested in volunteering, send an email to volunteers@austincooptour.org. Please indicate any special talents or areas of interest in your email.
